Funds & Income Source of WJRC
Funds & Income Source of WJRC
Our work is sustained by a combination of grants from development agencies, registry fees, subscriptions, donation’s and income from communications advisory services.
Our relationship with our funding partners is based on dialogue and engagement. We value the support from our donors, funders and sponsors, but do not allow them to influence our mission, work and principle thinking independence.
The defining principle of this loose network of WJRC’s partners is the belief in the power of the moving image to change perceptions, challenge individual and collective thinking and to move people to action. The list of members, partners and supporters keeps changing over time, with new ones joining and some long-standing ones taking a break.Today WJRC does not receive any external funding from any Indian or international source. It is sustained by income generated from grants from development agencies, registry fees, subscriptions, donation’s and income from communications advisory services. Journalism & Journalist
What is Journalism & Who is journalist?
Journalism is the activity of gathering, assessing, creating, and presenting news and information. It is also the product of these activities. A journalist is a person who collects, writes, or distributes news or other current information to the public. A journalist’s work is called journalism. But journalism not considered a profession, like doctor and advocate.
Doctor will peruse medical education degree & enrolled in medical council for registration… to do medical practice as a doctor. A law student passes law degree & enrol himself in bar council to do practice as a Advocate. But journalist don’t having his identity. (except-he/she working in big news organization and holding Id card as media person)
Today, millions journalists are not registered. No matter, whether they are in the city or in the countryside. They spend their entire lives for journalism, face threats-attacks, for the general public. Fighting for the right to justice, yet no one should take care of them since independence It is a tragedy.
WJRC is the first worldwide organization, who fighting for Journalist Registration Act around the world, on basis of self-regulation, self-dependency and mutual co-operation.
